The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton says there’s “little or no signal” of the substantial rate of interest rises having labored.

Mr Creighton mentioned his sense is that central banks are going to “press on” and proceed to raise charges with a view to carry down inflation.

“If central banks are going to keep up their credibility, they must get that inflation down,” he informed Sky Information Enterprise Editor Ross Greenwood.
