‘My place is to help the Voice’: Liberal Minister leaves frontbench
Outgoing Shadow Minister for Indigenous Australians Julian Lesser says “My place is to help the Voice” leaving the Liberal frontbench after their stance on saying no to the Voice referendum.
“The important thing distinction between the federal government and the opposition on that is the place the opposition has taken is to not help the referendum to place the Voice within the structure,” Mr Lesser mentioned at a press convention on Tuesday.
“The opposition’s place is to help constitutional recognition, however not the Voice within the structure.
“My place is to help the Voice within the structure, my place is to help the rollout of native and regional voices that lead into our nationwide Voice.”
